Ever since I was a little kid I have been an avid sketcher, doodler and pseudo-illustrator but I have always done it as an ADHD coping device or to help on my practice as a designer and architect, never for a full on personal project. A couple years ago I gifted the daughter of a friend a drawing of her name’s initial, the letter L (pictured on the side). The drawing was popular with other friends and her dad suggested I make it into a book. For the last 2 years I have been––on and off––developing a “I Spy” children’s book that I aim to launch this fall that is comprised of letters built out of drawings of things that start with that letter (sample below - A). Fingers crossed!!
